Dancing with the Stars had a spooky theme this week leading into Halloween and stars took the stage with their pro dance partners for “Villains Night.”
Jeannie Mai kicked off the night as Hannibal Lecter when she and Brandon Armstrong danced the paso doble to Nelly Furtado’s “Maneater” which earned them a solid 25/30.
Another highlight of the night was Olympic figure skater Johnny Weir as Dracula, and his partner Britt Stewart. The duo landed in the bottom two last week but turned things around with their Viennese waltz to “Creep” which picked up a score of 27.
Netflix’s Cheer star Monica Aldama and partner Val Chmerkovskiy earned the lowest score of the night, unfortunately, for their jazz routine to “Fever” by Nurse Ratched. The routine earned them a 22/30.
Pro Cheryl Burke and Backstreet Boys’ AJ McLean performed a successful tango that earned them a score of 26 despite Burke taking a fall. “Cheryl and I were practicing during stage rehearsal and it did not go well,” McLean said in a video of their prep. “It happened so fast, I just heard her head hit the floor.”
Kaitlyn Bristowe closed out the night as Cruella de Vil. She and Artem Chigvintsev danced the paso doble to Rihanna’s “Disturbia” for a score of 24.
Ultimately, it was Monica Aldama and her partner Val Chmerkovskiy along with Jeannie Mai and Brandon Armstrong who landed in the bottom two. Judge Derek Hough saved Aldama and Chmerkovskiy, but Bruno Tonioli picked Mai and Armstrong to keep around for one more week.
Carrie Ann Inaba broke the tie by choosing Jeannie Mai and her partner to stay, which sent Cheer‘s Monica Aldama home. So far this season, Vernon Davis, Jesse Metcalfe, Anne Heche, Carole Baskin, and Charles Oakley have also been eliminated.
Dancing with the Stars airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
