Season 27 of Dancing With the Stars is seeing some scary competition, especially on Halloween night! The Monday, October 29 episode was full of tricks, treats, lifts, revelations, and romance, but in the end someone still had to go home! Follow along for a full recap of Halloween night.

The night kicked off with an “insane” Contemporary dance from Milo Manheim and Witney Carson to “Toxic” by 2WEI. The pair stunned everyone with this haunting and absolutely captivating insane -asylum set dance, and it was nothing short of perfect as they were awarded a perfect 30 and lots of praise from the judges. Interestingly enough, the night also ended with a perfect 30 from Juan Pablo Di Pace and Cheryl Burke who danced a jive to “Dead Man’s Party” by Atwater Men’s Club. Rounding out the top of the leader board was actress Evanna Lynch and her pro partner Keo Motsepe who scored a 29 for their Tango to “Disturbia” by Rihanna.

Making their way to the middle of the pack was Alexis Ren and Alan Bersten who earned a 27 for their Jazz to “Candyman” by Christina Aguilera, but instead of the focus being on their dance, their whole pre-dance package was about Alexis’ growing feelings for Alan making for the biggest showmance of the season. Right behind Alexis and Alan was DeMarcus Ware and Lindsay Arnold who danced a Salsa to “Under Your Spell” by Leo Soul. Their routine was daring and told an interesting story resulting in a score of 26 out of 30. Falling slight behind was Mary Lou Retton and Sasha Farber. In her video package, Retton revealed for the first time publicly that earlier this year she had divorced her husband after 27 years, and talked about how this show has helped her transform and adapt to this huge change in her life. They earned only 24 for their Tango to “Shame” by Elle King.

The bottom of the score board looked a bit different this week as Joe Amabile was able to show more commitment and progress than ever before and landed a 22 out of 30 for his Argentine Tango to “El Tango de Roxanne” from Moulin Rouge with Jenna Johnson. Joe tied with Bobby Bones and Sharna Burgess who also only earned a 22 for their Argentine Tango to “Mr. Sandman” by SYML. With Joe out of the bottom, the new lowest scorer of the show was poor John Schneider who earned only 19 out of 30 for his Paso Doble to “Main Titles” from Beetlejuice by Ray Chew Live. The choreography and story was great, and everyone (except for the judges it seems) loved it.

In the end, it was revealed that two of the contestants with the biggest stories this week: Alexis Ren and Mary Lou Retton were in jeopardy along with their pro partners. After there was no elimination on Disney Night, someone had to go this week, and it was fan favorite Mary Lou Retton and Sasha Farber.
