‘Dancing With The Stars’ Season 29 Crowns Its Winner

The 29th season of Dancing With the Stars has officially come to a close and a winner has been crowned!
In the finale, the audience saw Nelly, Justina Machado, Nev Schulman, and Kaitlyn Bristowe compete in the ballroom one last time. The stars and their pro partners each performed two dances for the live show. This included a repeat of one of their favorite performances from the season with some new creative changes, along with a fan-favorite freestyle.
Former Bachelorette star Bristowe and Artem Chigvintsev were the first couple to perform and opted to repeat their Argentine tango to “Toxic” by Britney Spears, which earned them a 30/30. Their second performance was a freestyle dance to “Sparkling Diamonds” from Moulin Rouge, which also earned a perfect 30/30.
Grammy-winner Nelly performed next with his pro partner Daniella Karagach. The duo repeated their samba to “Rhythm of the Night” by DeBarge, which earned a 27/30. Their freestyle was to “Savage” by Megan Thee Stallion and “Hypnotize” by The Notorious B.I.G. that earned a 30/30.
Catfish host Schulman took the stage next with pro Jenna Johnson. They opted to repeat their Paso Doble to “Black Swan Swan Lake” by District 78, which scored a 30/30, and danced a freestyle to “Singin’ in the Rain” by District 78 that was also given a 30/30.
One Day at a Time actress Machado and pro Sasha Farber were last to perform and repeated their cha cha to “Respect” by Aretha Franklin, which earned a 30/30. For their freestyle, the couple danced to “Let’s Get Loud” by Jennifer Lopez and “Bamboleo” by The Gypsy Kings, also earning a perfect 30/30.
At the end of the high-energy night, host Tyra Banks announced that Machado had landed in fourth place and Nelly in third, leaving Bristowe and Schulman as the two final.
Ultimately Banks revealed that Kaitlyn Bristowe and Artem Chigvintsev were the champions of season 29 of Dancing with the Stars. The win marked Chigvintsev’s first-ever Mirrorball Trophy win!
