Dancing with the Stars has sent home its second contestant for season 29!
The theme of week three was the show’s seasonal Disney night when the celebrities perform a dance to a hit song from a Disney film.
Big cat enthusiast and Tiger King star Carole Baskin danced the samba with her partner Pasha Pashkov to “Circle of Life” from The Lion King and the pair dressed up as lions. The duo earned a 12/30 for the routine, which unfortunately was not a high enough score to keep them in the competition. Baskin was the second contestant to be sent home from season 29.
At the end of the episode, host Tyra Banks announced that Anne Heche and Carole Baskin had landed at the bottom of the leaderboard and it was up to the judges — Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli, and Derek Hough — to decide which contestant to save and which one to send home.
Hough explained his decision first and chose to save Heche and her partner, Keo Motsepe. “Anne and Keo, there was a few little slip-ups tonight. But, you know, I think you have a lot of potential. Carole, Pasha, you’re here doing your thing. Unfortunately, I can’t save you again this week, so I’m going to have to go with Anne and Keo.”
Tonioli was next and also decided to keep Heche in the competition. Inaba was last and agreed to keep Heche and unfortunately, send Baskin home.
After being sent home, Tiger King star Baskin said with a laugh, “My husband is going to be so happy I’m coming home.”
Dancing with the Stars airs Mondays (8 p.m. ET) on ABC.
