Three months after her nearly fatal overdose, singer Demi Lovato is now out of rehab and working on rebuilding her life in L.A. according to sources.
“She just got back to L.A. a couple of days ago. She seems to be doing well so far,” a source told PEOPLE.
The 26-year-old was spotted outside of Matsuhisa restaurant with clothing designer Henry Levy and seemed to be in good spirits. Many claimed to have seen Lovato at Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights the night before and was also spotted at a spa in Beverly Hills.
In late October, Lovato’s mother Dianna De la Garza revealed her daughter had 90 days of in-treatment that was coming to an end. “Yes, she has 90 days and I couldn’t be more thankful or more proud of her because addiction being a disease, it’s work,” La Garza, 56, said of Lovato during an appearance on Maria Menounos‘ Sirius XM show in late October.
“She’s working really hard on her sobriety, and we’re all so incredibly proud of her,”Lovato’s younger sister said in an interview with the podcast Millennial Hollywood, adding: “It’s been crazy for our family. It’s been a lot.”
Lovato has always been open and honest about her struggle with addiction, eating disorders, and mental illness and in 2010 she entered treatment for bipolar disorder, bulimia, self-harm, and addiction. She relapsed shortly after leaving the center and then entered a sober living facility for a year.
In March of 2018, Lovato celebrated six years of sobriety before revealing she relapsed in her song “Sober” and then overdosed on July 24, 2018 at her Hollywood Hills home. The singer spent two weeks in the hospital before she was stable enough to move to an in-patient treatment center.
