The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, recently made a public appearance to announce the release of her new cookbook, Together: Our Community Cookbook. With autumn weather just around the corner, we can’t wait to see what the Duchess has in mind for her cool weather wardrobe. Typically we’d expect dark reds and burnt oranges, but Markle did something unexpected with her pre-Fall wardrobe for this appearance — she wore cobalt blue!
The Duchess rocked a surprisingly affordable Mischa Noonoo pleated skirt paired with a sleeveless top and black pumps. The all-black outfit has become one of Markle’s staples and isn’t overly unexpected, however, the bright blue color was definitely not something we anticipated. Not only does Markle typically shy away from most colors outside of neutrals, but the color also seems an unexpected choice going into fall. We love that Markle isn’t afraid to break convention and wear a shade that’s outside the box. The crisp, royal blue coat fits her like a dream and is truly elegant. The coat is from a Canadian designer, Smythe, and is not yet released but will be available for pre-order in December. In the meantime, shop some affordable dupes below:
