DWTS’ Maksim Chmerkovskiy And Peta Murgatroyd Are Engaged

It’s official!
Gorgeous Dancing With the Stars pros Peta Murgatroyd and Maksim Chmerkovskiy are officially engaged after an incredibly sweet proposal. Maks, 35, got down on one knee in front of 1500 people after the pair’s performance of Sway: A Dance Trilogy in Miami on Saturday, Dec. 5.
He presented Peta with a custom Cantamessa engagement ring that he designed especially for her. “Maks’ romantic proposal is something I will cherish for the rest of my life,” she said after the big moment. “I’m excited for the next chapter in our lives and to plant the wedding of my dreams with Maks.” Only a few hours later the pair stepped out at the Sway Alfalit Gala where the bride-to-be happily showed off her amazing ring, while the two also took to their social media to gush about each other and the big moment.
Meanwhile, Val Chmerkovskiy, Maks’ brother, who was there for the proposal also offered his congratulations in his own very sweet Instagram post. “I love the two of you with all my heart. you have my brothers loyalty, heart. his one and only for the rest of his life. You’re family now and that makes you my sister, the second most important woman in my life. what’s mine is yours. Forever and always. Petachka your team got numbers now.”
