Former Disney Star Tiffany Thornton’s Husband Dies In Car Crash

Former Disney star Tiffany Thornton is going through a really tragic time right now.
The 29-year-old lost her husband, Chris Carney, 35, early Friday morning, multiple outlets are reporting, following a single vehicle car crash. Carney and another man, Ezekiel Blanton, were pronounced dead on the scene after the vehicle they were in slammed into a tree while going around a bend.
Carney was a former member of the band The Prom Kings, and married Thornton in 2011. While the couple also share two young sons together, KJ Carney, 2, and Bentley Cash Carney, 21 months. Thornton is best known for her time on Disney’s Sonny With a Chance, co-starring Demi Lovato. Carney meanwhile is also known from the MTV reality show twentyfourseven; however, had recently turned to working as a probation officer for Hot Springs municipal court.
Making the situation even more tragic is that Thornton was already mourning the death of her close friend, Brittany Blanton, sharing a heartbreaking post on Instagram, writing, “I keep thinking this can’t be real. One of my very best friends is gone and the place she holds in my heart will never be filled…It was such a blessing to have her stand by me in my wedding and I was honored to stand by her in hers.”
Interestingly enough, Thornton’s friend has the same last name as the man who was driving the car and was also killed in the car wreck with Carney, Blanton. However, outlets are not reporting what the connection is or if there is one between Ezekiel and Brittany Blanton, but it appears the deaths could be connected if Ezekiel was trying to deal with Brittany’s seemingly sudden death.
