Marque ‘Tate” Lynche, best known for his time on the All New Mickey Mouse Club, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 6, multiple sources have confirmed. He was 34 years old.

The New York Police Department responded to a call at Lynche’s apartment at 4 p.m. where Lynche was pronounced dead. An investigation into the death remains ongoing and, while no cause of death has been determined as of yet, his death is being considered suspicious by the medical examiner.

Lynche was a Mouseketeer from 1993-1995 alongside the likes of Britney Spears, Ryan Gosling, Christina Aguilera and Justin Timberlake, and was most recently seen as a contestant on Season 3 of American Idol. Lynche reportedly took a step back from the industry following his mother’s death, with plans to begin working on music again once he recovered from the loss.

One of Lynche’s former co-stars, Dale Godboldo spoke out about Lynche following his death, stating, “Knowing Marque during the MMC days – as my little brother- I knew he was hugely talented with a passion for the arts, and a passion for life. But it was more recently while collaborating on an MMC related project I got to know Marque as a man.” He added,”He was so excited to be a part of something that would encourage young people to pursue their dreams and a life of purpose. Marque was a beautiful spirit, that although had endured so much, only wanted to spread love and inspiration. I’ll miss you man. I know you’re flying with angels. RIP.”
