Hallmark Channel has officially announced its Christmas in July movie slate which includes an all-new film!
Hallmark Channel is celebrating the holidays early this year with its annual Christmas in July movie slate. The network announced the month-long event on Wednesday. The marathon has grown in popularity in recent years since it allows fans to revisit some of their favorite holiday films before Hallmark’s 24/7 holiday programming begins in November.
This year’s holiday film roundup features classic films such as Candace Cameron Bure’s Christmas Under Wraps, Holly Robinson Peete’s The Christmas Doctor, and Lacey Chabert’s Time for Us to Come Home for Christmas.
This year’s Christmas In July marathon is also set to debut an all-new holiday film, titled Crashing Through the Snow. The film follows Maggie, played by Amy Acker, as she gets invited to spend a Christmas getaway in Aspen with her ex-husband Jeff’s (Kristian Bruun) new girlfriend, Kate (Brooke Nevin). During the trip, Maggie forms a bond with Kate’s brother, Sam (Warren Christie).
“Although Maggie feels like a third wheel crashing their Christmas, she’s not alone as Kate’s hapless brother, Sam, shows up unannounced with a plan. Always seeming to live in Kate’s shadow, Sam, for once, wants to come out ahead, and he convinces Maggie that, together, they can compete with Kate and make this Christmas the best one ever,” a description for the upcoming film reads.
Crashing Through the Snow will premiere on July 10.
