Harry Styles Cries On Stage, Breaks Silence On Twitter After Zayn Malik Exit

It seems not all of the guys in the former five-piece boy band were going in One Direction after Zayn Malik shocked fans and his bandmates when he announced he was officially quitting the band after five years.

The band announced the news in a Facebook statement, confirming much speculation that Malik just could not handle the constant fame and wanted to be a “normal 22-year-old.”

While fans took to social media to display their heartbreak, even Harry Styles couldn’t keep it together as hours after the news he was videotaped stepping away and wiping away tears on stage in the band’s first scheduled performance as only a four-piece in Jakarta.

Styles was also the first to break his silence after the official announcement, taking to his Twitter account late on Wednesday March 25 to write, “All the love as always. H.”

A few hours later Liam Payne also took to his Twitter to address the day’s events, “So glad to be in bed after a long and strange 24 hours,” he wrote.

Although the news was devastating to many, the rest of the band stayed positive and assured fans they would carry on with their plans, “The four of us will now continue. We’re looking forward to recording the new album and seeing all the fans on the next stage of the world tour.”
