It’s been a common theme for years now that celebrity brides tend to opt for the nontraditional route when it comes to their wedding dress. We’ve seen everything from black and yellow gowns to suit jackets and minidresses, and the celebrity to most recently join this bandwagon is Mandy Moore!
Moore married Dawes frontman Taylor Goldsmith earlier in November in an intimate ceremony at her Los Angeles home. She shared a series of photos from the evening on Instagram, many of which featured detailed shots of her bubblegum pink wedding gown. The dress was designed by Kate and Laura Mulleavy of Rodarte, which is no surprise because Moore has been a longtime friend and fan of the brand. The pink gown featured ruffles, subtle polka dots and a beaded floral design on her waistline.
Moore shared her thought process behind the dress choice with Popsugar, “I just want to feel like the best version of myself, not too fussy or done-up,” she said. “I’ve heard that brides regret their hair or makeup; that they sort of forced themselves into this idea of what they thought they should look like at their wedding. It wasn’t true to who they really are. I don’t want to fall into that trap.”
