Hayden Panettiere’s Fiancé Opens Up After Daughter’s Birth

Just over a week ago, Nashville actress Hayden Panettiere, 25, welcomed her first child on December 9 with fiancé, Ukrainian boxer Wladimir Klitschko, 38.

After the birth of their daughter, Kaya Klitschko, proud daddy Wladimir took to his Instagram on Tuesday December 16 to reflect on what a crazy, amazing year 2014 has been for him and his family.

“A review on the year: The birth of my daughter, two successful championship defenses and many other achievements on the way. It was a great year and I’m looking forward to 2015. I’m ready to take on new challenges! #klitschko #steelhammer,” he captioned alongside a picture of himself donning a shirt that reads, “Failure is not an option.”

While Klitschko seems more like the “man of few words” type, Panettiere has been gushing about motherhood and got so excited at one red carpet event she accidentally let slip the baby’s gender.

While not being able to contain her excitement about her daughter she also revealed that her intimidating 6’6 fiancé is actually a gentle giant when not pounding opponents in the ring.

“He’s such a resilient guy. He’s so calm and patient. I have never even heard this man raise a voice,” she confessed.

Panetierre and Klitschko began dating in 2009 but broke up for a brief period in 2011 before reconciling in the spring of 2013.

The couple confirmed they were engaged by October 2013 and announced their pregnancy in May 2014.
