Eleven months after the story first broke about Heidi Montag’s father, Bill Montag, being accused of sexual abuse involving a minor, sources have learned he has pleaded not guilty to the charges.

“He did turn in a not guilty plea, the case is set for trial. It’s probably going to be continued to late spring, early summer. That’s all I can say right now,” his attorney Forrest W. Lewis has stated.

Back in January it was revealed that he had been arrested for allegedly committing acts of sexual abuse and incest on a 13-year-old girl who is described as a family member, abuse that went on for years until she turned 17, according to the claims. Following the arrest, news outlets were reporting that because the abuse occurred between 1993-1998 “due to the statute of limitations, Montag is only eligible to be charged with crimes that occurred after July 1, 1996, when the victim would have been 16 years old.”

Bill Montag has denied all allegations, and Heidi has stood by her father, with a source close to The Hills star stating at the time of his arrest, “It’s all coming from an estranged family member with ulterior motives. Heidi doesn’t believe any of it.”
