HGTV’s Christina And Tarek El Moussa Finalize Divorce

It has been a long road, but HGTV’s Flip or Flop hosts Christina and Tarek El Moussa have officially finalized their divorce, multiple outlets have confirmed.

The divorce comes just after a year the popular hosts announced they had split after seven years of marriage following reports of an intense fight at their home months before. Fans of the hit series were shocked by the news as the pair seemed like one of the most solid couples in the spotlight, and despite the very public split, they released a joint statement, saying, “We are committed to our kids and being the best parents we can be. We will continue to work through this process civilly and cooperatively, and plan to continue our professional life together.”

As their split progressed and reports of new relationships surfaced, the two did continue to work on Flip or Flop together while co-parenting their two children, Taylor and Brayden. “Going through the divorce and separation was such a horrifying experience,” Tarek told Us Weekly in December. “It tests your mental and physical strength and it’s just such a painful thing. And eventually, as time goes on, as you work towards it, you get out of that pain and you see light at the end of the tunnel. You realize that all the things that used to upset you or frustrate you or stressed you out before are so irrelevant. Going through something so traumatic makes you reevaluate life and really who you are and want to be.”
