It’s never surprising to hear that Eminem has offended somebody or called them out in his rap lyrics.
The infamous 42-year old rapper is getting ready for the release of his new two disc compilation album Shady XV on November 24 which will include both old hits as well as new tunes.
So far Eminem has carried on in true Slim Shady form, as both new tracks that have already been heard include very violent lyrics towards two of the leading women in the music industry.
He already stirred up controversy with lyrics where he threatened to punch Lana Del Rey in the face while alluding to the Ray Rice domestic violence incident.
In another song that was leaked earlier this week titled “Vegas”, Eminem’s lyrics get violent towards Australian rapper Iggy Azalea, which suggests a threat of raping her.
In the track, Eminem tells Iggy to put away her rape whistle, “Unless you’re Nicki/grab you by the wrist let’s ski/so what’s it gonna be/put that s–t away Iggy/You don’t wanna blow that rape whistle on me.”
On Thursday November 20, Iggy took to her Twitter account to respond to the disturbing lyrics which she addressed in a succession of tweets. “im bored of the old men threatening young women as entertainment trend and much more interested in the young women getting $ trend. zzzz.”
Followed by, “its especially awkward because my 14 year old brother is the biggest eminem fan and now the artist he admired says he wants to rape me. nice!” and “women in music have the bigger balls anyhow we endure much more harassment and critic. good morninngggg!!!! off to camera block for AMAs!”
Before Eminem took aim at Azalea, she also had a brief but intense social media feud with legendary rapper Snoop Dogg who insulted her on Instagram, which ignited the battle.
The pair exchanged attacks back and forth, even involving Azalea’s Lakers’ boyfriend Nick Young but the feud was eventually ended by rapper and producer T.I. who talked Snoop into offering an apology.
