Jamie Lynn Spears’ Daughter Has Been Seriously Injured In ATV Accident

Jamie Lynn Spears 8-year-old daughter Maddie was injured in an ATV accident on Sunday, February 5, and according to reports her condition is “extremely serious.”

Maddie was apparently riding on a Polaris off-road vehicle for a “hunting expedition” when it reportedly flipped over. According to the reports Maddie was then underwater for “several minutes and unconscious ” before she was airlifted to a nearby hospital.

Spears was not with her daughter at the time of the accident, however, a rep for the 25-year-old and her family released a statement, “The details the media are reporting surrounding the incident regarding Jamie Lynn’s daughter are incorrect. Right now the Spears family asks that everyone respect their privacy during this time and appreciates all the prayers and support for their family. Meanwhile Jamie Lynn and Britney Spears’ father told Entertainment Tonight, “All I can say is pray for our baby Maddie.”

The former Zoey 101 actress and country singer sparked controversy back in 2007 when she announced that she at 16 she was pregnant. Following the birth of Maddie in June 2008, Jamie Lynn and Maddie’s father Casey Aldridge called off their engagement and then reconciled only to break up again in 2010. In 2011, she began dating businessman Jamie Watson and the pair married in March 2014, with Watson becoming a stepfather to Maddie.
