Jessa Duggar And Ben Seewald Welcome First Child

19 Kids and Counting star Jessa Seewald (Duggar) and  her husband Ben Seewald have welcomed their first child, a healthy baby  boy, on Thursday, Nov. 4. Jessa, 23, and Ben, 20, announced this past April that they were expecting their first child and Jessa continued to document the pregnancy on social media, keeping the gender a secret the whole time.

“I think having this first year together to share our lives, just the two of us, has been special,” Jessa stated back in April as many were surprised they waited so long to become pregnant with their first child following their marriage on November 1, 2014.

Jessa’s sister Jessica shared the happy news of the new arrival on her Instagram page with a note in blue that reads, “I’m an auntie!” Afterwards, the Duggar family also confirmed the new by writing on their Facebook page, “So excited!!!! Ben and Jessa have had their sweet new baby! A beautiful baby BOY!!!! More details soon. Mom and baby are both doing great! Thanks for all your prayers! Congrats Ben and Jessa, we love you!”

The birth of the new baby, as well as Jill Duggar’s family with son Israel and husband Derick Dillard will be focused on with the new TLC series Counting On featuring the two sisters following the cancellation of 19 Kids and Counting amid the many Josh Duggar scandals.
