Jessica Simpson Marries Eric Johnson
Published on July 7, 2014. Updated October 15, 2014It’s been a long time coming, but here’s to hoping the second time serves as the charm, and there are many years of happiness in store for Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson. The couple were wed over the holiday weekend.
The four year relationship, which has produced two children, is now a marriage relationship, because getting that piece of paper is important in defining status in the 21st century. This is the second marriage for Eric and Jessica, but these two have seemed a perfect fit since day one.
Jess has always had a thing for football players. It’s just something that comes with being born and raised in Texas. And Eric is one of those rare Ivy League footballers (he went to Yale), who enjoyed several years of a productive career in the NFL.
The couple wed at the beautiful San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito, CA, just east of Santa Barbara in the foothills of the Santa Ynez mountains. The location is truly gorgeous, and the couple could not have asked for more sunshine or better surroundings for their special day. The couple’s daughter, Maxwell, served as the flower girl, and their one year old son, Ace, posed as the ring-bearer. Sure, feel free to take a moment to offer a collective “Ahhhh…”
True to form, Jessica allegedly screwed up her wedding vows in the “repeat after me” section. Who’s surprised? Regardless, the couple got through the formalities, and will now resume their life as it was pre-wedding. Hopefully all parents, friends and family satisfied to have taken part in the ceremony.
