JoJo Siwa and Dancing with the Stars pro Jenna Johnson made history with their first dance of season 30!

During the premiere episode, the duo performed a foxtrot and received a score of 29 out of 40, which was the highest score of the night. In the behind-the-scenes video before their first dance, Siwa is seen opening the studio door to discover that Johnson is her partner.

“This is a whole new ball game for me. I’ve never done anything ballroom before,” Siwa told the cameras. “It’s a learning experience that I’m more than ready for.”

Siwa was one of the first stars that was announced to be on the show back in August and made history as the first female celebrity paired with a female pro dancer. Before her performance, Siwa opened up about how it feels to make DWTS history.

“For the first time in Dancing with the Stars history, I am dancing with another female, and I’m really, really proud. I came out in early 2021 and what I love to do is make truly being who you are easier for kids.”

Dancing with the Stars airs Mondays on ABC.
