Josh Duggar’s joke about dating his siblings is definitely not funny anymore.

Josh, the Duggar family’s eldest child on TLC’s reality show 19 Kids and Counting, has admitted to molesting five girls, including some of his siblings, a decade ago — shedding new light on a video clip for the show that has resurfaced.

In the video, Josh, 27, is seen talking about taking his then-fiancée Anna Duggar to the movies. Josh’s sister Jinger Dugger had been designated as the couple’s chaperone because their family rules prohibit non-married people from going on dates alone, but Jinger was too young to attend because of the film’s rating.

In the end, Josh’s siblings Jana and John David Duggar were selected to chaperone. “We chose Jana and John David – we thought why not, have a double date,” Josh says to the camera with a smile. Then Josh is seen laughing with the show’s producers and saying, “We are from Arkansas, no?”

In light of Josh’s admission of molestation, Josh’s words feel more creepy than funny.

Amid the scandal, TLC has pulled 19 Kids and Counting from the airwaves but has not yet officially been canceled.

“We are deeply saddened and troubled by this heartbreaking situation, and our thoughts and prayers are with the family and victims at this difficult time,” the network said in a statement last week.
