The Big Bang Theory star, Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting immediately had to battle rumors that she got a nose job after she posted a picture of her bandaged snout following a sinus surgery for a deviated septum.
In a recent appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show however the blonde beauty opened up about the procedure, the odd addiction that caused it and how her husband really helped her out through it.
“I had sinus surgery the day after Christmas and it has been the worst surgery of my life. Very painful. And on top of it everyone of course thought I got a nose job. Which is so funny because if you know me I would have told you I got a nose job, I’m not gonna keep it a secret,” she told Ellen.
She also explained to Ellen why the surgery was necessary and it was due to an addiction to nose spray.
“I was actually really addicted to nose spray like Afrin. Like for years. Like at award shows I would have to pick out the right clutch to be able to fit my Afrin in it. And I’d be under the table like…snorting it. I’m surprised there were no photos of what I was snorting. And I couldn’t get enough and it was such a problem. And I ruined my sinus. So I had to get it fixed.”
Ellen then revealed that her wife Portia de Rossi also has a deviated septum and needs to get the same surgery to which Cuoco replied, “It’s the worst!! You should totally get it done, but it’s the worst.”
She also went on to credit her husband Ryan Sweeting for helping her through it, “He’s been taking care of me. He’s been amazing.”
Even after she forgot to thank him when she won for Favorite Comedic Actress, leaving it up to her co-star and ex-boyfriend, Johnny Galecki, to thank him when the whole show won.
“So not only did I not thank him, but I’m snoring, my ex thanked him…I’ve been the worst wife,” she joked to Ellen.
