The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have moved on to the third day of the royal Pakistan tour!
On Wednesday, the royal couple stepped out to visit the beautiful Hindu Kush mountain range, which is a few miles from the Afghan border. The duo witnessed firsthand the effects of climate change in Pakistan as they visited a melting glacier. Through the visit, the royals hoped to shine a light on the “very real consequences of global warming, and its devastating effects on our planet,” according to their spokesperson.
William, who graduated from university with a geography degree, said, “Dr. Warren, my geography teacher, would be well impressed that I’m back at a glacier after all these years.” Kate added, “I’ve been very impressed by William’s geography.”
For the outdoor occasion, Kate wore a brown midi skirt, a leather vest, and a brown collared shirt. Rather than her typical Duchess pumps, Kate opted for something a little more practical with a pair of knee-high flat brown boots. William stood beside her with a light green button-up shirt and a pair of brown slacks. Upon arrival, the royals were also presented with traditional Chitrali hats and colorful embroidered jackets, which were also given to Lady Diana during her solo tour of Pakistan in 1991.
