The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, is typically spotted alongside her husband, Prince William when it comes to Royal engagements. On Tuesday, March 19th, however, the Duchess joined Queen Elizabeth for a special Royal outing.
The event marked the first time that Kate Middleton has had a public joint appearance with the Queen without any other royal family members in attendance since joining the Royal family in 2011. The duo toured the King’s College’s Strand campus, a high-tech university in central London.
For the occasion, the Queen looked lovely in a pink Stewart Parvin cashmere coat which she accessorized with a pink sapphire and diamond brooch. She accessorized with a coordinating pink fascinator and black accessories. Kate Middleton, on the other hand, opted for something a little more muted with this charcoal Catherine Walker coat dress. We absolutely love the preppy, structured collar and flattering belt on this look. The Duchess accessorized with one of her go-to black fascinators by Sylvia Fletcher.
