Kelly Osbourne finally addressed her departure from E!’s Fashion Police while on The Talk which is co-hosted by her mother Sharon Osbourne. All Kelly would really say about the matter is she wants to “try new things” but there had to be more to it than that.

Osbourne threatened to quit after going off on Twitter following a racially charged comment that her fellow Fashion Police host Giuliana Rancic said about actress, Zendaya Coleman’s hair. Although it seemed all was well after Rancic apologized, a few days later Osbourne announced her exit.

While Kelly didn’t say her departure was due to the drama around the comment, Griffin said she wasn’t sure if it did or didn’t, while speaking to the Chicago Sun Times’ Splash magazine. “Sometimes she seemed very upset at the merely seven tapings of Fashion Police we did together. I can tell you this: I adore that family… Kelly came to my house a couple of times when Joan [Rivers] was in the hospital and we were consoling each other. I can tell you there was genuine love there.”

Griffin went on to talk to about Rancic’s “joke” about Zandaya’s dreadlocks stating that she doesn’t think it would have been the same big deal if she had said it instead of Rancic. “But I wouldn’t have said it in the first place. Some dude wrote it for her. Don’t have anyone write you jokes or even suggest jokes for you on ‘Fashion Police,'” she explained.

There has still been no decision made about Kelly’s possible replacement on the show, although the names of stars such as Khloe Kardashian, Chrissy Teigen and Christina Milian have been circling.
