In case you missed it, superstar Katy Perry, 30, absolutely dominated the halftime show for Super Bowl XLIX in Glendale, Arizona on Sunday February 2.

While fans of the game tuned in for the showdown as the New England Patriots got a win over the Seattle Seahawks, even more tuned in just to see the anticipated halftime performance and between a giant lion, dancing sharks and flying above the field, Perry ‘s theatrics did not disappoint.

So how would one celebrate one of the biggest performances of her career? Well Perry decided to get her own commerative Super Bowl tattoo and shared the event on Instagram.

The first photo shows Perry still glammed out from her show sitting down while a tattoo artist is tattooing the inside of her finger which she captioned, “I thought it would be appropriate to draw blood tonight…XLIX.”

She then followed it up with another picture showing the finished product with the roman numerals “XLIX” on her finger (see photo below).

Perry’s performance was much anticipated as she promised big things and was joined by rock legend Lenny Kravitz to sing her song “I Kissed A Girl” as well as Missy Elliot who performed a couple of her own hits including “Work It.”

Earlier in the day Perry took to her Twitter to share her excitement for the performance writing, “Today is for this girl. She had the dream, always believed in herself & her worth. Today she is the one smiling,” along with a picture of herself when she was younger and holding a microphone.
