Keira Knightley Talks Missing Drinking And Fear Of Having A Boy

Actress Keira Knightley, 29, has been proudly displaying her baby bump in stylish maternity red carpet fashions through the awards season since announcing in mid-December that she and husband James Righton were expecting.

She recently took a break from it all to sit down and discuss her pregnancy on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and was not shy about what she misses most of not being pregnant, “No, no I can’t drink. I’m up for an Oscar and I can’t drink at the Oscars!,” she lamented to Ellen.

DeGeneres then sympathized with her about not being able to partake in the party atmosphere, however it turns out Righton is there to take over her. “My husband’s having a great time. I’m eating for two and he’s drinking for two. There’s a lot of free champagne, so he thinks because I’m not drinking the free champagne, he has to. So, all of it.”

Meanwhile, the pair have not found out the sex of their baby but she admitted she is now afraid of the possibility of having a little boy, “Somebody said to me the other day, the problem with boys is — sorry, this is horrible — but when you’re changing their nappies, you can get the wee in your face…I never knew that before, so it was terrifying. And apparently they roll as well, so you have to try to stop them while you’re trying to grab something else in order to stop them peeing in your face. So that sounds quite interesting.”

It is clear Knightley is the no bulls–t type of pregnant lady and is equally candid about the idea of a “birthing plan.” “Oh, this whole birthing plan,” she sighed. “Sorry, but what is the plan apart from to get it out? There isn’t an option to keep it in, is there? So, I’m assuming my plan is to get it out. But apparently there’s more to the plan than that. I don’t know what that is. Still, my plan is to get it out. It will come out.”

Luckily for Knightley, Ellen is always there to help her friends and gave the actress a surprise gift which was a changing table on top with an alcohol cabinet in the bottom complete with a face guard in case it is a boy.
