Kelly Clarkson and Brandon Blackstock’s divorce seems to be getting a little messy.

Kelly Clarkson has claimed that her estranged husband Brandon Blackstock his father Narvel Blackstock’s management company defrauded her out of millions of dollars.

Clarkson filed legal documents with the California Labor Commission in October which alleged that Brandon and his Starstruck Management company defrauded her by charging her absurd fees during her time with the company.

The documents claim that her agreement with Starstruck Management was a “fraudulent and subterfuge device” that allowed her managers to perform “illegal services” as agents.

Clarkson also alleged that Brandon and Narvel were not licensed in the state of California to be agents, and because of this, she wants to be repaid all the money she gave to the company during the 13 years she was signed with them.

Clarkson is countersuing the management company and is claiming that it violated the California Labor Code. The filing says that Starstruck was not properly licensed when “procuring, offering, promising, or attempting to procure employment or engagements.”

The documents continue by explaining that the company violated the Talent Agencies Act multiple times and that all agreements between the parties should be “declared void and unenforceable.” This includes a verbal agreement that requires a 15 percent commission on her gross earnings.

Clarkson’s countersuit came after Narvel filed an initial lawsuit against her alleging that she owed the firm millions in unpaid commissions. The filing claimed that Clarkson had not paid the total commission for her work on The Kelly Clarkson Show and The Voice for 2020, which would add another $5.4 million to her total money owed.
