The long-rumored feud between former Sex and the City costars Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall was recently confirmed when Cattrall brought their tension into the public eye following the passing of her brother.
Cattrall shared the devastating news of her brother’s passing on a photo on Instagram and Sarah Jessica Parker sent her condolences. “Dearest Kim, my love and condolences to you and yours and Godspeed to your beloved brother,” Jessica Parker wrote.
Cattrall was not impressed by Jessica Parker’s support and shared another image that stated, “I don’t need your love or support at this tragic time @sarahjessicaparker.” Below the image, she added, “My mom asked me today, ‘When will @sarahhjessicaparker, that hypocrite, leave you alone?’ Your continuous reaching out is a painful reminder of how cruel you really were then and now.”
Although Kim made it clear her and Sarah Jessica Parker had bad blood, she surprisingly didn’t do the same for former co-star and television best friend Cynthia Nixon! “Hey Kim, such awful news. So sorry to hear. Sending you love. XO,” Nixon, who formerly played Miranda Hobbs, wrote on the photo Cattrall shared.
Cattrall replied, “Cynthia, hearing your voice meant so much to me. Thank you for reading out. Love Kim.” Her comment makes it seem that the former costars recently spoke over the phone following the tragedy.
Cattrall’s comments definitely hit Jessica Parker hard and an insider revealed to Us Weekly, “This will be absolutely devastating to her. She really is one of the nicest people in show business. Not sure why Kim had to take it to this level.”
