Anytime someone takes on the bottom feeders, it’s a joyous day for this commentator. But before I bust out the soap box and start giving a Friday sermon, we’ll offer due credit to all parties involved in this video. This was actually a very beneficial discussion hosted by Access Hollywood.
When you live in Los Angeles you’re going to see celebrities. You don’t have to hunt them down. You don’t have to go where you think they’re going to be. They are everywhere. And why is this? Because they’re human beings who need to eat, drink, put gas in their car, go to the gym, enjoy rest and relaxation, go to church (oh, the scandal), take walks: Are you picking up what I’m laying down?
Imagine yourself trying to do any and all of the mundane things in your day to day, where you have a few minutes to decompress from the stresses of work, and then add any number of photographers and videographers to the mix. They’ll ask questions as you try to complete these tasks, while getting into your space, and literally preventing you from continuing on a desired path. How long before you lose your mind? Even observing the process is enough to make you sick to your stomach. It’s really awful.
The paparazzi are out of control. I know I probably sound like I’m biting the hand that feeds me, but I’m not paid to harass people. I’m paid to offer commentary–opinion. In other words, there are easy places to draw lines, and taking unauthorized photos of anyone should be a line drawn in fat, black Sharpie.
Dax and Kristen are two of the coolest people carrying clout within the industry. They’re so cool that when it comes to being out and about they don’t mind the paparazzi… but add their child to the mix, and they’ll look to offer a moralistic beat down. This was the heart of the discussion with the owner of a paparazzi/photography agency, and emotions ran high and hot during their discussion.
