Even Hollywood A-listers can’t fight the forces of mother nature and actress Kristen Bell was forced to evacuate in Florida this past weekend!

Bell appeared at Meadow Woods Middle School in Orlando, Florida and used her status for good by performing for the children and making light of a tough situation. “I hope maybe some of these songs are running through your head the rest of the day and will take your mind off [Irma],” Bell told the crowd. She performed “For The First Time in Forever,” from the Disney film Frozen.

“This was today’s wonderful surprise from Kristen Bell to Meadow Woods Middle School shelter! She’s amazing!,” the school shared on Facebook.

Millions were able to evacuate Florida before the hurricane hit, but Bell was one of many that could not. “We didn’t have the option to leave so here we are. Just doing our best and trying to stay positive but cautious, and trying to help those who need help prepping,” Bell wrote on Instagram on Friday. “Sad that a hurricane has to bring out the best in everyone – but happy that the community will be holding hands through this.”

It seems that Bell has also done more than just perform to do her part in helping the evacuees! She reportedly helped her Frozen costar Josh Gad’s family by finding them a hotel room when the options were scarce. “So @kristenanniebell literally saved my parents and my entire family tonight from #hurricaneirma,” Gad wrote on Instagram on Friday.

“When they were stranded in Florida, she got them a hotel room at her hotel in Orlando and saved them, my brothers, my sister-in-law and niece and nephew. They don’t make them like this girl. Thank you Kristen,” Gad wrote.

Hurricane Irma is one of the strongest storms ever recorded in the Atlantic Ocean. According to CNN, it has killed at least 24 people in the Caribbean islands and has killed four in the United States.

Last run to the store for #irma hurricane holdover prep while bracing down in orlando- we didn’t have the option to leave so here we are. Just doing our best and trying to stay positive but cautious, and trying to help those who need help prepping. Every person i passed today was assisting someone else- #neighborshelpingneighbors – it was beautiful to see. Sad that a hurricane has to bring out the best in everyone- but happy that the community will be holding hands through this. Im grateful to Gary and the team at @swandolphin in epcot for helping us feel safe while we get through this together.
