It’s a family affair! Kurt Russell and Wyatt Russell are joining a new live-action MonsterVerse series on Apple+.

According to Deadline, the father-son duo have been cast together for a new series from the Godzilla and Titans universe. It’s been reported that the role the Russells will play has not yet been revealed, but they will hold roles that have a family connection. According to reports, the series “will follow one family’s discovery of a legacy that links them to the Monarch.”

Deadline explains that the series will follow the universe that includes 2014’s Godzilla film, 2017’s Kong: Skull Island, 2019’s Godzilla: King of the Monsters and 2021’s Godzilla vs. Kong, along with the anime series Skull Island.

Aside from the Russells, the upcoming Apple+ series will also feature Anna Sawai, Ren Watabe, Kiersey Clemons, Joe Tippett and Elisa Lasowski.

The MonsterVerse film will mark Kurt’s first return to live-action television since 1977 when he appeared in an episode of the original Hawaii Five-0.

As for Wyatt, he currently stars in Under the Banner of Heaven alongside Andrew Garfield. He also joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2021 when he starred as John Walker/Captain America in the television mini-series, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
