Lauren Conrad Tries to Start Bizarre Facial Hair Trend

When the 28 year-old fashion designer, author and former reality star was hanging out with Kristin Ess, Conrad’s The Beauty Department co-founder, the two used extensions to give themselves unibrows. Ess uploaded pics of the strange trend to Instagram, with the caption, “I refuse to waste a good extension scrap. #boldbrowsforspring.”
Bold brows, such as those made famous by model Cara Delevingne, are definitely on-trend. But luckily, we think that Conrad’s statement is 100% for giggles.
Conrad appears on the cover of the April issue of Allure magazine, rocking her normal brows but some seriously heavy smoky eye makeup. Makeup artist Melanie Inglessis worked to keep Conrad’s skin “fresh and dewy.” For the smoky look, she drew a thick line just below the creases on the eyelids with a black kohl liner, then smudged a gray cream shadow into the creases.
“I think that it’s really nice to learn that makeup is different for every person,” Conrad has said.
“Everyone has a different feature on their face that they like to show off. One of the main messages in this book is to have fun with makeup. It’s not meant to cover you up. It’s meant to show off your favorite things about yourself.”
