Law & Order: SVU actor Actor Ned Eisenberg has sadly passed at age 65.
According to TMZ, the actor passed on Sunday at his home in New York. His agents at Nicolosi & Co. confirmed the news on Monday. Eisenberg was battling two forms of cancer ahead of his untimely passing: cholangiocarcinoma and ocular melanoma.
Einsenberg is survived by his wife Patricia and the couple’s son Lino.
Patricia shared a statement with PEOPLE to further explain Ned’s condition. “As Ned would say, he was attacked by two very rare assassins — cholangiocarcinoma and ocular melanoma,” she shared. “Over the course of two years, he bravely fought the cancers in private while continuing to work in show business to ensure that his medical coverage paid for himself and his family.”
Eisenberg’s friend and former manager, Craig Dorfman, shared a statement with PEOPLE which read that Eisenberg “was one of the kindest and most talented actors with whom I ever worked. He will be missed.”
Eisenberg is best known for his recurring role as Roger Kressler on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. He also held a starring role on The Fanelli Boys as Anthony Fanelli. Some of his more recent guest star spots in TV roles include The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Mare of Easttown, The Good Wife, and White Collar.
