Linkin Park Cancels Tour Due To Singer’s Injury

Rock band Linkin Park disappointed many fans when they announced they had to cancel the remainder of their “Hunting Party Tour” after an injury to lead singer Chester Bennington’s leg.

On Tuesday January 20, the band posted the message on their website, “Linkin Park regrets to inform their fans they must cancel the remaining dates of The Hunting Party tour through February 14th, due to a leg injury of lead vocalist Chester Bennington. The injury requires immediate medical attention making it physically impossible for Bennington to perform.”

Chester included a personal message stating, “I’m really disappointed this injury has made it impossible to continue with this tour. The first couple of shows were just magical. We will truly miss not being with our fans for the next few weeks. Hope to see you again soon,” although he did not clarify how he injured his leg or what the extent of the injury is.

The band also announced that refunds for the shows will be made available at the point of purchase.

“The Hunting Party” is the band’s sixth album after finding immediate success with their breakthrough album “Hybrid Theory” in 2000 for which the band also won a Grammy Award for Best Hard Rock Performance for the single, “Crawling.”
