Pop divas are dropping like flies in Las Vegas after Mariah Carey was forced to cancel her performance for Wednesday, May 13 due to bronchitis.
Only a week ago, reigning Vegas star Britney Spears also had to cancel and reschedule two of her concerts after taking a fall and spraining her ankle while on stage.
Unfortunately for Carey her cancelation comes only one week after the launch of her residency at Caesars Palace, which began with a brilliant show on Wednesday May 6 where the star performed all of her 18 No. 1 hits to perfection.
“Hey guys.. I’ve been fighting bronchitis for the past few days.. almost better but on mandatory vocal rest per doctor’s orders. I’m so sorry to cancel tonight’s show but I promise to make it up to you!!! Love you always, MC,” she posted on her Instagram page.
Since she is already on the mend, it seems the superstar will be stage ready in time for her next show scheduled for Saturday, May 16, especially as she is such a busy woman.
Aside from her own residency shows Carey has been exploring the best of Sin City, posting a picture of herself on May 8 in the center of the stage during a Chippendales show. “Again, I’ve no idea how I got here!! @chippendales.”
