Maury‘s time on air is coming to close after 30 seasons.

The long-running daytime talk show hosted by Maury Povich has been confirmed to stop production this year. This will mark more than 3,600 episodes produced after 30 seasons on air.

Reps from NBCUniversal confirmed that new episodes will air through until September. It’s also been confirmed that reruns of Maury will continue to air in syndication even after production on the show ends.

Fans may recall that Maury began in 1991 as The Maury Povich Show, but had its title reworked to just Maury in 1998. The series became iconic for featuring ordinary people as guests, rather than celebrities, and addressed controversial topics ranging from unusual illness, to phobias, to relationship infidelity.

Tracie Wilson, EVP for NBCUniversal Syndication Studios, explained in a statement that the current season will be the last and wished Maury luck for the future. “Maury and I decided two years ago that this season would be the farewell season for the show, and while his retirement is bittersweet, we are so happy for him to be able to spend more time on the golf course,” she shared.

“Maury is a television icon, a pop culture legend and we couldn’t be more proud to have been a part of his incredible career.”
