Meghan Markle is not the type of woman to stay silent on International Women’s Day! The Duchess is making an appearance today and speaking on a panel at King’s College London to empower young women.

The expecting Duchess is speaking among other influential women including musician and activist Annie Lennox, model and activist Adwoa Aboah and former Prime Minister of Australia Julia Gillard. The palace shared that the key highlights of the panel will include, “obstacles [that] still affect female empowerment across the world, including access to education and limitations within employment.”

For the event, Meghan opted for a chic black and white minidress with a mod, ’60s feel to it. She paired the patterned dress with a sophisticated black blazer and a pair of classic black pumps. She pulled her hair into her signature low bun and opted for a minimal makeup look.
