The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, has wasted no time after the holidays jumping right back into public engagements! The Duchess stepped out on Thursday morning to visit Smart Works, an organization that provides coaching and interview clothing to long-term unemployed women.
For the visit, the Duchess wore timeless pieces that rang true to her personal style, but this look, in particular, had one major difference — her shoes! Markle opted for a sophisticated, black shift dress by maternity brand Hatch Collection paired with an oversized trench coat by Oscar De La Renta. The look was super classy and clean, but she jazzed it up by adding a shoe that was a little wild and featured a bold cow print with transparent panels along the side.
The Gianvito Rossi animal print shoes were undeniably a risk, but we love how Markle is strategic with her styling. She chose to pair the unique shoes with a simple black dress and a polished bun, which really allowed the shoes to shine and not feel distracting or overwhelming. While it’s clear a look like this wouldn’t be a fan favorite for everyone, we think Meghan looks absolutely stunning and styled the risky shoes perfectly!
