The Duke and Duchess of Sussex chatted with the Queen over a video call on Tuesday to celebrate her 94th birthday!
Meghan and Harry recently relocated to Los Angeles, and despite being miles apart from the Queen, they still made sure to call her and send their birthday wishes. The couple’s son Archie, who will turn 1 on May 6th, also joined the virtual call to say hello to his grandmother.
Due to ongoing global health concerns, the Queen spent her birthday this year in isolation at Windsor Castle with her husband Prince Philip.
Despite not being able to be together on the Queen’s big day, Meghan and Harry luckily spent some quality time with her during their final round of engagements in the U.K and attended Sunday church service with her. “It was a really sweet gesture that the Queen asked them to church,” a source shared with PEOPLE. “It’s telling in the sense that these two are still her family. And as a family, they all love each other.”
Harry and Meghan have been keeping themselves busy in L.A. the past few weeks by delivering meals for Project Angel Food, a charity that helps to cook, prepare and deliver meals to people living with critical illnesses. The duo was spotted dressed casually in baseball caps and masks delivering food this week to do their part to help out.
