Meghan Markle, Prince Harry And Prince Andrew’s Social Media Pages Removed From Royals’ Website

The royal family has made some updates to their official website!

Earlier this month, both Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s @SussexRoyal Instagram page and Prince Andrew’s Twitter and Instagram pages were removed from the family’s official website royal.uk.

Visitors to the royal website will now see just three social media accounts for both Twitter and Instagram available: @TheRoyalFamily, which follows Queen Elizabeth and other royals, @ClarenceHouse, the account of Prince Charles and Camilla,  and @KensingtonRoyal, the account of Kate Middleton and Prince William.

While their social media accounts may be removed, Meghan, Prince Harry, and Prince Andrew still have active biography pages on the royal family’s website highlighting their key initiatives.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made the unprecedented announcement that they were stepping down as senior working royals back in January. Their agreement with the Queen went into effect April 1 and the couple has since moved to Los Angeles with their 1-year-old son, Archie.

The couple stopped actively posting on their royal Instagram page on March 30. A spokesperson for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex previously shared that while the account will be inactive, “both the Instagram account and website will remain in existence online for the foreseeable future.”

Prince Andrew stepped down from his royal duties in November over the “major disruption” caused by his ties to financier Jeffrey Epstein. The final post on both his Instagram and Twitter pages is his announcement that he will “step back from public duties for the foreseeable future.” His personal website, thedukeofyork.org, was also taken down last month and the website now redirects to his biography page on royal.uk.
