Melissa Gorga Says Joe Giudice Is “Manning Up” While Teresa Is In Prison

Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice has now been behind bars for just over two months and while the prospect of a 15-month jail sentence is frightening enough, Teresa’s main concern was her husband Joe being the primary caregiver of their four daughters.

It seems however that Joe has really stepped up, according to Melissa Gorga, Teresa’s sister-in-law who gave an update on the Giudice family to host Andy Cohen of ‘Watch What Happens’ on Live on Sunday March 8.

“She’s doing well. My mother-in-law gives me updates all the time. She’s doing really good,” she said of Teresa who is serving time at a Danbury, Connecticut correctional facility.

As for Joe, she said he’s doing everything he can to make things easier for daughters Gia, 13, Gabrielle, 10, Milania, 8, and Audriana, 5. “It’s heavy on his heart. It’s a lot. I pass him in the morning and he’s driving the girls to school and I usually pass Teresa in the morning… It’s heartwarming to see him. He’s manning up and he’s doing what he has to do.”

Both of the Giudice’s have been sentenced to serve jail time for major fraud but were allowed to serve their time separately in order for one to always be at home with the children. Joe was handed a longer 41-month sentence and will begin his time as soon as Teresa returns home.
