Oh, to live on the other side. While many, many people would jump at the chance to eliminate their debt, especially student loans if they had the money, it seems those who do have the money don’t see it as a priority.

In a recent interview with Vulture, movie star Miles Teller, 28, admitted that although he has starred in several money-making blockbusters, he hasn’t paid off his student loans to NYU. “My business manager says the interest is so low, there’s no sense in paying them off. I can, if I want to have that badge of accomplishment, but until then I still very much have my NYU loans,” the 2009 NYU grad stated.

You have to hand it to Teller however, it doesn’t hurt having a respected degree to back-up your career as there are several highly educated A-listers, there are many more who gave up on their college education to pursue their Hollywood career.

Luckily Teller has the best of both worlds, after graduating from NYU’s Tisch School of Performing Arts he has starred in films such as Footloose, That Awkward Moment and awards season sleeper Whiplash.

Teller has also enjoyed the success playing a role in the Divergent franchise as the second instalment Insurgent just brought in $54 million in its opening weekend.

To top it off, he is looking at another huge payday starring in the next remake of The Fantastic Four as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic. “I never pick anything based on, oh, this is what’s out there. I don’t work for the sake of working. Everything that’s come my ways has been thought out in terms of what it’s doing.”
