Well, for once something Miley Cyrus has said makes sense.
It is not news that Miley Cyrus has topped the crazy scale and has done her best to erase her “Hannah Montana” image from her Disney days.
Smoking pot on stage, wearing crazy and revealing outfits, getting numerous tattoos and constantly sticking her tongue out are only a few of the things that people now associate with the Bangerz version of Miley Cyrus.
In a recent interview on Australia’s Sunrise TV, Miley admits she knows exactly what is thought of her and her antics, and is totally fine with it.
She spoke of interacting with fans and stated she thinks she would be a good stand-up comedian if she wasn’t singing and when asked to tell a joke she replied, “I am the joke. Look at me. I’m a walking joke.”
In the interview the young singer states that she would rather be crazy then considered not a nice person and thinks that a lot of other stars act polite but really are not in real life, “I treat people at the bottom of the list much better than people at the top, because the people at the top have enough people sucking up to them. So anytime anyone thinks I’m crazy, it’s like, I’d rather be crazy than not a nice person.”
For whatever reason, Cyrus seems to think she has escaped the drama of the industry, although it seems it has sent her off the rails as well.
She credits growing up in a famous family as to why she is apparently “chill” and uses the opportunity to name drop on her famous upbringing, “It really doesn’t bother me when people tell me I’m crazy, because I am…I grew up around people like Johnny Cash and Dolly Parton, and those people are not normal.”
Although her argument makes sense, her antics which seem to have a lot to do with getting attention should in no way be connected to the talents or personalities of Johnny Cash or Dolly Parton.
