Country superstar Miranda Lambert shocked fans recently when she revealed that she had gotten married, but as it turns out the singer and her new husband Brendan McLoughlin were married for three weeks before she decided to share the news!
According to PEOPLE, the 35-year-old and the 24-year-old New York Police Department officer actually wed on January 26, 2019 and a rep for Lambert confirmed that the wedding did in fact happen earlier this year.
A few days after Valentine’s Day, the singer revealed that all the love from the special day inspired her to share her happy news on Instagram, writing, “In honor of Valentine’s Day I wanted to share some news. I met the love of my life. And we got hitched! My heart is full. Thank you Brendan Mcloughlin for loving me for…. me. #theone.” She also shared two sweet pictures from their wedding day.
The wedding came less than three months after the pair initially met on Friday, November 2, 2018 when Lambert appeared with her Pistol Annies bandmates on Good Morning America. The trio performed their new single and also promoted their new album in New York when Lambert had her fateful meeting with McLoughlin.
The whirlwind romance for Lambert comes nearly four years after her divorce from fellow country star Blake Shelton in 2015 and only months after her controversial relationship with musician Evan Felker who reportedly left his wife for Lambert.
Meanwhile McLoughlin has been working with the NYPD since 2013 and it has been confirmed that he recently welcomed a child from a previous relationship in November of 2018, shortly after he met Lambert.
