New Jurassic World Trailer Amps Up Anticipation

Nothing can go wrong by genetically modifying dinosaurs to create an even bigger, and meaner dinosaur, can it?

Of course it can, and to top it off the dinosaur was created for a theme park, Jurassic World, packed with thousands of human visitors.

On Monday April 20, Universal Pictures released the second official trailer for the film and its intensity is garnering even more anticipation for the sure to be summer blockbuster.

The trailer shows more of Chris Pratt has dinosaur trainer Owen Grady as he keeps three Velociraptors at bay while stating, “It’s not about control. It’s a relationship, based on respect.”

The voice of Bryce Dallas Howard’s character, the park’s operations manager Claire Dearing then explains that every new attraction (a.k.a dinosaur) increased attendance at the park which cause “corporate” to decide that genetic modification would “up the wow factor” to which Grady responds, “They’re dinosaurs. Wow enough.”

The result of course is the new Indominus Rex which we also see more of and learn that she ate her own sibling in captivity before breaking out and hunting the rest of the park’s dinosaurs for sport, something not previously done by dinos who kill to eat.

Along with the Indominus Rex, the trailer also gets fan excited to see how Pratt teams up with his own squad of Velociraptors who were the well known villains of previous Jurassic Park films.

Jurassic World hits theatres June 12.
