Nicki Minaj Team Member Dead After Stabbing

A member of the crew who works with rapper superstar Nicki Minaj is dead after being stabbed in a bar fight on Tuesday (Feb. 17) night in Philadelphia the singer confirmed in a tweet the next day.

“Two members of my team were stabbed last night in Philly. One was killed. They had only been there for two days rehearsing for the tour,” she wrote.

The victim who was killed has been identified as 29-year old De’Von Pickett who worked as a stage hand on the tour, while the other man identified as Eric Parker, 26, survived the attack but with critical stab wounds according to Philadelphia police.

Minaj also took to her Instagram to grieve over the violence inflicted upon the two men, sharing a photo of the pair and writing, “#Rp @myfabolouslife – these guys flew into Philly for my tour rehearsals 2 days ago and were both stabbed last night. #RIPDAYDAY condolences to your family. Unbelievable. Eric (on the right) is recovering. Another senseless act of violence that took the life of a great guy. So sad.”

The police reported that the incident occurred outside of the Che Bar & Grill in West Oak Lane around 2:30 in the morning after an argument inside.

The unidentified attacker fled the scene after fatally slashing Pickett and severely wounding Parker with stabs to his left arm and side.

Hours before his death Pickett was active on his Twitter account sharing positive messages such as “Be Great,” “Namaste” and “LIFE #GODISTHEGREATEST.”
