There is no longer one direction for the guys of One Direction after it was announced that the famous boy band is planning a year long hiatus starting next March.

The band, now compromised of members Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson following the exit of Zayn Malik earlier this year, is taking the time to focus on themselves and to “pursue their endeavors” away from the group sources state.

“They are great friends and fully support one another. They are very aware that they are able to work on their own stuff as well as remain together. This is an exciting time for them creatively and as a group,” a source told E! Online.

Although the news of the hiatus seemingly points towards the end of the group, they are making it very clear they still intend to come back together to work on the band’s music after the year; however, the break also means they will not be touring for their fifth album, which is slated for release later this year.

The band recently released the music video for their new single “Drag Me Down,” their first one without Malik, and so many fans rushed to watch the video, Vevo temporarily crashed.

According to the British newspaper The Sun, Styles, 21, is interested in actin,g but will also be pursuing a solo music career. Horan, 21, is also starting a solo career, while Payne is going to focus on DJing and songwriting. Of course, Tomlinson, is gearing up for fatherhood, but is also getting involved with a new reality series.
