Good news for all of you One Tree Hill fans! Some of your favorite cast mates are getting together for a reunion.
The EyeCon Chicago convention has announced that several of the show’s stars will be teaming up for a One Tree Hill event. From November 11 to 13, fans will have the opportunity to attend panels, autograph sessions, and music performances by Jana Kramer.
Chad Michael Murray (Lucas Scott), James Lafferty (Nathan Scott), and Ashley Rickards (Samantha Walker) have confirmed they’ll be attending the event.
This will be the fifth convention of its kind for the show. In 2014, two devoted One Tree Hill fans started a petition for EyeCon to create an event based on the show. The petition received an overwhelmingly positive response, and the organizers are now preparing for what should be another successful event.
The event will be held at the Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile at 450N. Michigan Ave. Tickets are available for purchase here.
One Tree Hill aired on the WB and CW networks from 2003 to 2012. Speaking about its success, the show’s writer John Jeremiah Sullivan said, “It’s one of the worst TV shows ever made, and I seriously do not mean that as an insult. It’s bad in the way that Mexican TV is bad, superstylized bad. Good bad. Indeed, there are times when the particular campiness of its badness, although I can sense its presence, is in fact beyond me, beyond my frequency, like that beep you play on the Internet that only kids can hear. Too many of my camp-receptor cells have died. Possibly One Tree Hill is a work of genius.”
Obviously he doesn’t realize the true magnificence he was a part of.
