Chicago, Illinois is known and loved for a lot of things but one of its biggest promoters is saying goodbye to her longtime home as she and her company make the full transition to West Hollywood.

According The Hollywood Reporter, Oprah Winfrey’s Harpo Studios which has been producing her collection of shows for 26-years will be shutting down by the end of 2015 as the media mogul and her company are make the full time move to OWN headquarters in L.A.

“[Chicago] has been everything for me. I have spent more hours in this building than I have any other building on Earth. We were here when there was nothing but hoes and rats on the streets and now it’s one of the hottest neighborhoods,” she stated in a phone interview.

After reflecting on the company’s strong past she continued on about the move and the future, “The time had come to downsize this part of the business and to move forward. It will be sad to say goodbye, but I look ahead with such a knowing that what the future holds is even more than I can see.”

It is reported that 200 employees will be affected by the move with only a small number of them also relocating to L.A. after December to work at the OWN location in L.A.
